The IELTS test evaluates your proficiency in listening, reading, writing, and speaking, all within a timeframe of less than three hours.
There are two versions of the IELTS test: IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. While the Listening and Speaking sections are identical for both versions, the content of the Reading and Writing sections varies depending on the version you choose.
All IELTS tests require you to complete the Listening, Reading, and Writing sections on the same day, without any breaks in between.
However, the Speaking section can be scheduled up to a week before or after the other sections. Your test center will provide further guidance on this.
The total duration of the test is 2 hours and 45 minutes.
